I went to a party on Saturday night and was talking to a man who has lived in and traveled to many European cities, but not Istanbul. Since he’s never been to Turkey, he asked me, as most people do when they want to know more about Turkey, “What’s so different about it?” The strange thing is, it’s really difficult to put into words. Really. I can start, though, by describing Turkey as, “Magical, Exotic, Spectacular, with Unimaginable Beauty.” This is an understatement as I feel that words are inadequate in describing what I experienced in Turkey, if you can believe it. For some strange reason I decided to look through my passport today. I realized that maybe in the future I should carry my passport around in case someone asks me about Turkey again. My Istanbul visa stamp is beautiful, exotic, and the most colorful out of all my stamps. It stands out, too. Take a look for yourself. I can’t wait to add more stamps to my passport and wonder if another stamp could be more beautiful and interesting than the one I collected in Istanbul…
Even the visa stamp in Istanbul is
more detailed, colorful, and beautiful
than all the others.
The stamp above Istanbul’s
is from my recent trip to Barcelona.
