Happy New Year, Travelers!

As I woke up to an email from the Turkish doctor wishing me a Happy New Year, I was glad I started the day with a smile on this last day of the year.  I’m so very excited that I’m spending today traveling to Toronto and taking my final plane ride for the year.  In the cab ride to O’Hare, I noticed for the first time ever the fares and fees details.  I liked the “Vomit Clean-up Fee” of $50 and thought it was hilarious!  I hope all cab drivers of the world highlights this very important (and expensive) fee for all the drunks celebrating the night.  Although my friend and I don’t have concrete plans, I will be spending the last day of 2012 doing what I love most–traveling, discovering a new city, getting lost, dining and wine-ing, shopping, sightseeing, and catching up with an old friend.   These things are what I love the most, and as I reflect on the past year, my best year ever thus far, I look forward to a better 2013.  It’s already fantastic as I’m writing this on the plane with 10 minutes away from landing in Toronto!  I hope you, too, will end this year with excitement and start the new year with all the loves and passions you hold so dear.

Have a Happy, Healthy, and Wanderlust New Year!
