Day 10 of a Month of Gratitude

I can’t remember the last time I laughed so damn hard as I just did now. It’s been almost an entire month of my isolation from the coronavirus, and it still doesn’t seem real. I woke up wanting to start a new book and I landed on Lori Gottlieb’s MAYBE YOU SHOULD TALK TO SOMEONE. It’s about a therapist who ends up needing therapy herself. As I laughed out loud SO hard that I even cried, I didn’t know who I was for a moment. It felt so odd! Here I am laughing by myself without anyone around, and it’s not even 9 a.m. as I write this. It felt SO good!!!!!

So, of course I felt truly grateful. I know this world situation will end soon. And when it does, I can’t WAIT to share life, with real people by my side, at a restaurant, with drinks in hand, with food graciously prepared by chefs, and LAUGHING out loud together.
